Get to Know Our Ranch

Lylester Ranch is located in beautiful Martell, Nebraska on third-generation family land. Dan and Patricia Vergith are proud to offer their herd of registered American Angus cattle to you. They have had the pleasure of working with select ranches and breeding programs all across America and look forward to continuing to build relationships with local Angus and beef producers. Our phenotypes are paramount, and our genotypes are second to none.

Where are You Located?

Martell, Nebraska is an unincorporated community in southwestern Lancaster County. It lies along local roads southwest of the city of Lincoln, the county seat of Lancaster County and Nebraska’s state capital.

Ranch History

Named in honor of Dan’s grandparents Lyle and Ester Vergith, the ranch is third-generation family owned and is has been expanded in pasture additions by Dan and Patricia Vergith. Dan spent most summers at the ranch helping his grandparents with their operation and was very grateful for the opportunity to purchase the land from his uncle, Bob Vergith in 2007. Since then, the Vergith’s have developed a registered Angus herd that they believe will complement any herd. Dan’s vision of form and function presiding over numbers guide his every decision in the herd makeup. A great ranch crew has been procured and they are the backbone of the operation. Their passion for the animals and the success of the ranch is apparent to anyone who visits.

What Do You Specialize In?

We specialize in offering the strongest, most productive registered American Angus cattle. The female lines of our herd were the main focus in the progress of our herd. Their superior genetics have become the foundation of our ranch.
